Methods and hydrogeologic data from test drilling and geophysical logging surveys in the Lawrenceville, Georgia area (USGS open-file report ; 04-1366). A Microsoft Windows version of the MARK3 Monte Carlo resource simulator (USGS open-file report ; 00-415). Simulation program that uses a Monte Carlo statistical process and mineral deposit models to estimate mineral resources. Allows user to provide a probability distribution that describes the probable number of deposits at different confidence levels. Minerals and materials information CD-ROM / U.S. Bureau of Mines. Also includes some titles issued in paper as parts of Mineral industry survey series or Minerals yearbook, along with other publications and articles produced by the Bureau. The mineral economy of Brazil = Economia mineral do Brasil (USGS digital data series ; DDS-53). English and Portuguese versions of a cooperative report on the Brazilian government structure, mineral legislation and investment policy, taxation, foreign investment policies, environmental laws and regulations, and conditions in which the mineral industry operates. The Portuguese version was scanned from the Economia Mineral do Brasil published in 1995 by the Departamento Nacional de Producão Mineral as volume 8 of the Estudos de Política e Economica Mineral series. Mineral land classification of a portion of Tuolumne County, California, for precious metals, carbonate rock, and concrete-grade aggregate Consists of two separate digital packages, one displays the entire text and color plates of OFR 97-09, the other is composed of geographic information system (GIS) files. Mineralogy tutorial A companion to the best-selling texts: Manual of mineralogy, 21st edition, and Minerals and rocks. Interactive tutorials on mineralogy with depictions of three dimensional spatial relationships and QuickTime movies. Mississippi River shallow seismic survey Contains seismic reflection data collected along the Mississippi River in 1981 as a small boat traveled from Osceola, Arkansas, to Wickliffe, Kentucky, an area that transverses the New Madrid Seismic Zone. ASCII, PDF, and gif formats. Mojave Desert Ecosystem Program (MDEP) Text, maps and 8 CDs contain AVHRR, Landsat imagery, elevation, climate and ArcInfo data. National Assessment of Oil and Gas Project : petroleum systems and geologic assessment of oil and gas in the Southwestern Wyoming Province, Wyoming, Colorado and Utah (USGS digital data series ; DDS-69-D). National energy research seismic library--Powder River Basin, Montana--Wyoming : surface reflection and vertical seismic profile data used in seismic-stratigraphic investigations for ground-water aquifers and hydrocarbon traps (USGS digital data series ; DDS-32). Contains both raw and processed seismic data recorded during period 1975-1978. Four multichannel Vibroseis seismic lines, six Vertical Seismic Profiles, and associated support material (observer's notes, X-Y coordinates, elevations of source and receivers, etc.) are included. Raw (unprocessed) field data and a processed version (reprocessed by USGS in 1995) are contained in standard SEG-Y format files; support material are in ASCII format text files. National energy research seismic library--processed seismic data for 29 lines in the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska (USGS digital data series ; DDS-5). Contains final stack seismic data from twenty-nine lines consisting of 1,263 line miles of data collected in the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska. Data are from the National energy research seismic library data base established by the U.S. Geologial Survey in 1989, and are retrieved by using the software contained on the CD-ROM disk.
